Chapter: 3

The following day, Nitya woke up with a sense of determination. She had stayed up late to finish her practical file and was now ready to tackle the day. As she got ready, she couldn't help but smile at the memory of her coffee date with Manav. He had been charming and easy to talk to, and she found herself looking forward to seeing him again.
After a quick breakfast, Nitya headed to the campus, her practical file safely tucked in her bag. She arrived early and met up with Anu, who was waiting for her near the entrance.
"Morning, Nitya!" Anu greeted cheerfully. "Did you finish your practical file?"
"Yes, finally," Nitya replied, feeling a mix of relief and exhaustion. "I was up until midnight, but it's done."
"Good job! Now we just have to survive the rest of the day," Anu said with a grin.

As they made their way to their first lecture, Nitya noticed Manav standing with a group of his friends. He caught her eye and smiled, making her heart skip a beat. She waved at him, and he waved back before turning his attention back to his friends.

The morning passed quickly, with lectures and assignments keeping Nitya and her friends busy. During a short break, Nitya and Anu sat on a bench in the campus courtyard, chatting and catching up on each other's lives.
"So, how was your coffee date with Manav?" Anu asked, a teasing glint in her eyes.
Nitya blushed slightly. "It was nice. He's really easy to talk to, and we had a great time."
"That's good to hear," Anu said, smiling. "I think he likes you, you know."
Nitya shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Maybe. We'll see."
Their break ended, and they headed to their next lecture. Nitya's mind kept drifting back to Manav, and she found herself looking forward to their next encounter.
After the lectures ended, Nitya and her friends decided to go to a nearby café to relax and unwind. As they walked out of the campus, Vaibhav called out to her from behind.
"Nitya, wait up!" Vaibhav jogged to catch up with her.

Nitya turned around, smiling. "Hey, Vaibhav! What's up?"

"I was wondering if you could come with me to the library. I need to get a book, and it would be great to have some company," Vaibhav said, sounding hopeful.

Nitya thought for a moment and then nodded. "Sure, I can do that. When do you want to go?"

"How about we meet near the campus gate at 4?" Vaibhav suggested.

"Sounds good," Nitya agreed. "I'll see you then."

Vaibhav smiled, relieved. "Great! See you later, Nitya."

After parting ways, Nitya headed to the café with her friends. They found a cozy corner and settled down, ordering their drinks and snacks. As they chatted about their day and upcoming assignments.

As the time approached 4 PM, Nitya excused herself from the café and made her way to the campus gate. She found Vaibhav waiting for her, looking pleased to see her.

"Ready to go?" Vaibhav asked.

"Yep, let's go," Nitya replied.

They walked together to the library, chatting about their classes and upcoming exams. Vaibhav's easygoing nature made the conversation flow effortlessly.

"So, what book are you looking for?" Nitya asked as they entered the library.

"Just some reference books for our upcoming project," Vaibhav said. "I want to make sure I have all the information I need."

They browsed the shelves together, searching for the books Vaibhav needed. As they moved through the aisles, Nitya couldn't help but notice how focused and serious Vaibhav was about his studies. It was a side of him she hadn't seen before.

"Got everything you need?" Nitya asked once they had gathered the books.

"Yeah, I think this should be enough," Vaibhav replied, balancing the stack of books in his arms.

"Great! Let's get these checked out," Nitya said, leading the way to the checkout counter.

After they had borrowed the books, they stepped out of the library, the sun casting a warm glow over the campus.

"Thanks for coming with me, Nitya. I really appreciate it," Vaibhav said.

"No problem, Vaibhav. It was nice spending time with you," Nitya replied, smiling.

Vaibhav hesitated for a moment, then said, "By the way, there's this new café that opened up nearby. Would you like to check it out with me sometime?"

Nitya was taken aback but pleasantly surprised. "Sure, that sounds like fun. Let's plan it for some time next week."

"Awesome," Vaibhav said, his face lighting up. "I'll text you the details."

They parted ways, each heading back to their respective apartments. Nitya felt a mix of excitement and curiosity about her budding friendship with Vaibhav and looked forward to their café visit.
